The Admin Office can arrange transport and passes to local beaches. Shark’s Bay (esp. good for diving/snorkelling and water sports, and has good cafes), the beach at the Sharm Horizon Hotel (long sandy beach with calm, shallow waters, great for ‘little ones’) and other beaches. I suggest you take a packed lunch. There is a beach walk/bike way. Why not hire an electric bike LE50 an enjoy a ride up and down ‘the Prom’ of Nabq Bay.
At the Regency Plaza there is kite surfing (see right) as well as diving.
Book transport to these beaches the day before, if possible.
There are other public beaches including Sharm Bay (Sharm el Maya). Here the water is calm and shallow, and there are glass-bottom boat rides and water sports. Sharm Bay is about 200m down from the Old Market and the microbus ‘turn-round’ point. Naama Bay is a very busy and lively beach area.
You will be charged a small amount for the use of sunbeds and parasols on most the public beaches.
Remember, around Sharm there is karting, bowling, horse and camel riding, quad biking, as well as all water sports and activities, casinos, clubs and much more.
Sarah and Simon who live on our complex run a diving school and offer our guests 10% discount, including pick up and drop off. Contact at wrighsar@hotmail.com
